The PS5 powers on but the TV says “no signal”, the picture flickers or cuts out, or the cable feels loose.
Likely cause
A damaged HDMI port: bent or broken pins and cracked solder joints, usually from the cable being yanked or the console moved while plugged in. Less often, the HDMI chip behind the port.

Won’t turn on or turns off by itself

Symptoms
No lights at all, a beep then nothing, random restarts or shutting down mid-game.
Likely cause
A failed power supply, a blown fuse or a shorted component on the motherboard. Surges when the power comes back after an outage are a common trigger, and so is overheating.
What we do
We test the power supply and the board’s power circuits, then replace the power supply or repair the failed components.

Overheating, loud fan & shutdowns

Symptoms
The fan roars like a jet engine, the console runs very hot, or it shuts down in demanding games.
Likely cause
Dust packed into the fan and heatsink, a worn fan, or degraded liquid metal on the processor. The PS5 uses liquid metal instead of ordinary thermal paste, and it needs specialist handling.
What we do
Full strip-down and deep clean, fan replacement where needed and liquid metal replacement, then a temperature check under load.

Disc drive won’t read, take or eject discs

Symptoms
“Cannot read disc” errors, discs that won’t go in or come out, or grinding and clicking.
Likely cause
A worn or dirty laser, a jammed or misaligned mechanism, or a faulty drive board.
What we do
We repair the laser and mechanism. A PS5’s disc drive is paired to its console, so we repair your original drive wherever possible, then test it with several discs.

Out of storage space

Symptoms
“Not enough free space” warnings and constantly deleting games to make room.
Likely cause
The PS5’s built-in SSD fills up quickly with modern games.
